. To which he replied:

“I hope Doge can switch to PoS soon.”

Vitalik hopes PoS for Doge

Ethereum would also maintain its annual issuance of five billion coins through proof-of-work(PoW). Vitalik suggested that Doge’s team could put these massive amounts of DOGE into a type of DAO that funds global public goods.

“Personally, I hope Doge can switch to PoS soon, perhaps using Ethereum code. I also hope they don’t cancel the annual PoW issuance of 5b / year, but put it into a kind of DAO that funds global public goods. It would fit well with the wholesome, non-greedy spirit of Dogecoin.”

Other questions

Elon Musk, ever the joker, asked him what is love? Vitalik’s response was to answer with the chorus of Haddaway’s song “Baby don’t hurt me” but instead of “Baby” he put the strange name of Musk’s son saying baby don’t hurt me”.

Musk’s response was a funny face of his little boy surprised (as if he had been caught red-handed).

For his part, the head of Ava Labs asked him, “What’s the hardest lesson you learned through the Ethereum experience?” This was his answer:

“People are harder to coordinate closely in small groups than I expected. You can’t just get everyone to sit in a circle, see each other’s inherent goodness, and get along, especially when large conflicts of incentives”.

He was also asked what the metaverse was, to which he replied: “As far as I can tell, people use it to refer to the Internet + super immersive virtual reality, or the Internet + shared state (i.e. objects that can move between platforms). In the latter case, Ethereum is, of course, incredibly positioned to be a central part.”

He was even asked which habits he considered most beneficial against aging and he said the main one was to completely stop consuming sugar.
