Time Magazine: Vitalik Buterin is one of the most influential people of 2021

American entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian said


has watched Buterin’s career grow since the Russian-Canadian programmer started working in the industry. The Ethereum co-founder has been credited with bringing Ethereum to a market valuation of around $400 billion. Ohanian also acknowledged Buterin’s influence for his contributions to Ethereum’s impressive movement into the NFT

and decentralized application space.

In an issue of Time magazine, Ohanian further acknowledged Buterin and his influence on the Ethereum network:

What makes Vitalik so unique is that he is a builder of builders. No single person could come up with all the uses for Ethereum, but it didn’t take one person’s idea to get started. Since then, a new world has opened up that has given rise to new uses for blockchain technology – some of which I have already invested in.

Ohanian revealed that he received an email asking if he would like to write an article for Time Magazine on Buterin. The entrepreneur confessed that Buterin played a role in the realization of his career. He added
