Puerto Rico has a new bitcoin ATM machine

Bitstop, a U.S. manufacturer of bitcoin automated teller machines (ATMs), has installed a new device in Puerto Rico. This is the eighth device that the company places on the Caribbean island, but the first to reach the Carolina municipality, located in the northeastern region.

The new equipment for the purchase of bitcoin is available at the Puma service station located on Marginal Los Angeles in Carolina, as announced by the company

through its Twitter account.

On its website, the company points out

that it has other bitcoin vending machines in nearby places such as Calbert’s Shell Isla Verde, Texxan Oil’s Gulf Barbosa and the one installed in Castro’s Baldorioty, the corridor that receives every person who arrives to the island. All strategically located in service stations and enabled only for purchase since they are not bidirectional and do not allow selling. Since 2019, Bitstop outlined a plan to install ATMs in every corner of the United States. That year, it even signed a deal with Simon Malls, the country’s largest mall operator, and from then on, it has based its efforts on making bitcoin increasingly visible.
