Over the past few months, users of the Binance exchange have experienced a number of changes as a result of the need to adapt the platform to meet the requirements set by regulators. Although there is still a lot of work left to do, Changpeng Zhao has already announced that the US version of the platform (Binance.US) will go live on the exchange within three years.

Thus, Binance may become the second cryptocurrency exchange in history whose shares will be available to investors not affiliated with the cryptocurrency market.

Binance intends to go public

However, it should be noted that this is not about the main Binance exchange, which is extremely popular around the world, but about its US version. The Binance.US platform was founded after US users lost the ability to use the Binance exchange in 2019.

For a long time, Changpeng Zhao showed no interest in following in the footsteps of Coinbase, but he also did not rule out the possibility that he might decide to take such a step in the future. For the past few weeks, however, he has repeatedly stressed that he will make every effort to make Binance operate in accordance with the current regulations. This has led, among other things, to the fact that if you don’t show proof and your face, you won’t use Binance’s services.

Binance.US IPO

The initial public offering of Binance.US is scheduled for 2024, which is less than three years away. Meanwhile, a private funding round is expected to take place in the next two months to raise funds to make Binance.US independent of the global version of the platform.

Despite the plans to launch a US version of the exchange, CEO and founder of Binance Changpeng Zhao believes that the global version of the most popular cryptocurrency exchange will cope with the current problems and survive in the market. Despite the increasing warnings issued against the global version of the Binance exchange, it still enjoys good reviews among users.

Problems for Coinbase exchange users

Considering recent events, the same cannot be said about the rival Coinbase exchange. First, it appeared that users were reporting the theft of funds from the Coinbase exchange, and a few days later, a <a href=”https://bithub.pl/kryptowaluty/bezpieczenstwo/panika-i-zlosc-uzytkownikow-coinbase-po-omylkowym-wyslaniu-powiadomienia-o-zresetowaniu-2fa/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener” was visible on social media
