Cardano

founder Charles Hoskinson stated, “Everything is green and ready, we’re on schedule” for the upgrade which he says will take place tomorrow, September 1st.

Cardano’ s parent company , IOHK, announced that it would launch an ERC-20 converter to bring Ethereum assets to the Cardano testnet ,

and vice versa

.

This was reported by Cardano’ s own founder ,

Charles Hoskinson, and reproduced by other media outlets.

“Everything is green and ready, we’re on schedule,” Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said of the Alonzo update in a recent vlog

post over the weekend.

In the update, Hoskinson said his team had just concluded its “pass/fail” meeting on the entire infrastructure of the Alonzo upgrade. Hoskinson described how 25 stakeholders went through a “huge checklist of things” and that everything “kept coming up green.”

With the confirmations, Hoskinson said the team is now ready to cut the mainnet candidate and begin the gradual upgrade process.

“We’re going to start an HFC (hard fork combiner) event on Testnet,” Hoskinson said. “Testnet will be at the Alonzo stage.” He added that it would not be a specialized testnet like Purple

, but the main testnet used for exchanges.

Cardano users can expect sequential releases. According to Hoskinson, the Alonzo test network will be revamped on September 1. However, the Cardano

Once he completes the handover in Alonzo’

s test net, he will remain there until the proposal is completed on Sept. 9. Hoskinson said all is going well, he expects the transfer to happen on Sept. 12. The team would have delayed the transfer by five days until Sept. 17 had they reached a “no go” decision at their meeting.

Last week, Cardano’s parent company, IOHK, announced that it would launch an ERC-20 converter to bring Ethereum assets to Cardano’s proof-of-stake network, and vice versa. The converter is simply a bridge connecting the Ethereum network to Cardano, which will allow for easy migration of Ethereum-based

assets. The release will be included in the test network announced for later this week.

Yesterday, DiarioBitcoin published that the project area manager for IOHK, Francisco Landino, revealed that Cardano will launch a specially targeted converter bridge for ERC-20 tokens, with which those assets will be able to migrate to the project’s Blockchain

network.
